This week we spent three days in Jogja in a traditional village. We were split up between villager’s houses. The schedule was nicely arranged giving plenty of time to relax and spend time with the other students mixed with learning about traditional Indonesia culture, which very helpful for me as an exchange student. Being with the other students outside of school was great because in school I feel limited in interactions with everyone, but here we learn from each other, and I can bond with the other students better. We learned about traditional activities like making batik and planting rice. Exploring the village seeing the different ways of life and the locals sharing traditional foods.
